UPDATE 8/16/10: This Thursday will be our last Time Trial of the season. Please come out and join us – we look forward to seeing all of you have have been participating in the points series!!! 7/09/10: I want to thank everyone who has been coming out to support the Time Trial series through your active participation so far, it has been a great experience for us! Given the demand of the resources needed to staff the event and manage the timing software, competing events on the calendar, and overall participation levels on these dates, we have decided to move to a new schedule (every other week) going forward for the remainder of the series. We did not make this decision lightly, however we feel it is the best way to be able to continue to support the Time Trial in the same manner we have so far. Going forward no races will be held on: 8/26. As we continue to look for ways to improve this series and ensure it’s success for next year, I encourage you to continue to provide feedback to us either in person or via email (above), this is essential to tailoring the series to you, the participants. The Exposition Wheelmen Club would like to thank you for your interest and participation in the 2010 Expo Wheelmen Time Trial Series. Our goal is to promote a fun and competitive Time Trial Series. We strive to make this event run smoothly, your feedback is greatly appreciated – drop us a line via email (link below). We have extended the series to run every Thursday evening May through August for a total of 17 events. In addition to a full range of Men, Women, and Juniors categories, we added a couple of interesting new race categories, the Merckx and Team Time Trial. The Merckx category was established for those competitors on non-aero bikes and without any of the aerodynamic advantages common today – think old school! The Team Time Trial will provide an opportunity to work with your friends or teammates towards a combined overall time. Teams will consist of exactly 3 persons, no more or less and times will be calculated based on the 3rd rider crossing the finish line – so work together and stay together. Both of these new categories offer a unique opportunity to compete in a Time Trial. We have revamped our timing services to provide an easy, organized start and speed up the results process; no one wants to hang around waiting for results longer than necessary. In order to do this, we will utilize a start list with each individual racer or team given a specific start time. This allows you to know exactly when you’re starting and to plan your warm-up accordingly. We look forward to seeing you at the events, The Exposition Wheelmen
