Mark your calendars now…
Saturday, October 2, 2010 will mark the first annual Pedal 4 Paws charity ride, offering ride distances of 10, 25 and 50 miles through the beautiful villages and towns of the Shoreline and Connecticut River Valley.
As a non-profit shelter, Forgotten Felines is supported entirely by charitable contributions and run entirely by volunteers.  Every cat that is rescued is spayed/neutered, given a thorough medical exam, vaccinated and tested for disease.  Feral cats are released into managed colonies and the rest wait to be adopted, without having to worry about being euthanized.

But this level of care and attention comes at a cost and Forgotten Felines needs an increased level of financial support in order to continue its work.  The rising costs of vet care, as well as an increased number of pet abandonments during this economic downturn, have put a heavier burden on the shelter’s resources.
